We are looking for talented Store Managers to be the face of this fast-growing and hugely successful brand in the US. About the Position Store Managers at Kneipp retail stores are one of the most important roles in this newly emerging brand. You will be among the first group of Kneipp employees in the US, and are therefore responsible for creating and introducing the brand’s rich culture and heritage to the US consumer. As a Store Manager, you will drive store and individual sales and sell with a focus on wellness and a balanced lifestyle. As such, you will enjoy a complimentary work-life balance that we believe is necessary to maintaining a productive and positive outlook. You will direct all activities related to selling and service, visual merchandising, sales promotions, store maintenance, expense management, loss prevention, and sales support functions. You will be responsible for the training, coaching, and development of a team of Wellness Advisors/Experts, Sales Leaders, and an Assistant Store Manager. You will also introduce our clients to the 5 Pillars of our founder Sebastian Kneipp by demonstrating both our products and the water treatments he developed to promote a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

This position reports directly to the Regional Retail Manager.

Responsibilities

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a truly amazing customer experience to all Kneipp clients
  • Store Managers must be collaborative and team focused
  • Consistently strive to exceed sales goals and other expectations set by leadership
  • Excellent understanding of product information
  • Knowledge of and commitment to company mission, vision, and values and understanding of Kneipp philosophy and 5 Pillars
  • Commitment to building customer relationships and loyalty through personal interaction, hands- on product/water treatment demonstration
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for store products and services and ability to present to clients the efficacy and benefits of our products
  • Ability and desire to perform seated consultations for customers to determine their skincare, wellness, and gifting needs
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership including, but not limited to: visual merchandising, cleaning, stocking shelves, maintaining organized back room and floor, processing shipments quickly and accurately, cashiering quickly and accurately

 

Leadership Responsibilities:

Sales

  • Drive and exceed sale goals by developing strategies and executing Kneipp Leadership team initiatives
  • Determine business-driving opportunities
  • Lead the team toward delivering an exceptional client experience, complete with product and water treatment demonstrations. Coach, follow-up, and encourage team members
  • Enhance the clients’ experience through team-selling with Wellness Advisors/Experts, Sales Leaders, and Assistant Store Manager
  • Manage schedules and ensure appropriate coverage is maintained at all times
  • Develop and communicate strategies to improve results in customer retention and engagement
  • Responsible for delivering all company initiatives
  • Clearly communicate objectives and priorities to the team
  • Review store and individual goals and results with team during weekly meetings
  • Celebrate and recognize selling successes and coach team to improve selling performance
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and easy to shop store environment
  • Deliver the highest quality client experience

 

Operations

  • Open and close the store, performing all tasks to company standards

 

    • Maintain awareness of company expectations and current promotions and communicate these to the team
    • Oversee areas of loss prevention, store cash controls, and inventory management
    • Ensure product presentation, sales & event set-up, pricing, and signing standards are flawlessly executed to the direction of Kneipp leadership team
  • Understand and use store metrics to engage with team through formal and informal observations and coaching/role plays to develop selling behaviors
  • Keen ability to analyze reports and link results to employee performance
  • Identify best sellers and key real estate
  • Communicate merchandise needs to Regional Sales Manager
  • Ensure all policies and procedures set forth by Kneipp Corporation of America are followed

 

People

    • Observe team member’s interactions with clients and each other and provide detailed feedback to ensure an efficiently functioning store
    • Recruit and select a team of qualified Wellness Advisors/Experts, Sales Leaders, and an Assistant Store Manager
    • Develop and maintain a network and bench of talent in order to fill open positions in a timely manner
    • Ensure all training is conducted on a timely basis. Ensure assigned trainers engage with new hires effectively.       Assist in the training process where applicable
    • Build a culture of recognition by executing new ways to energize, engage, and reward team
    • Monitor and address performance issues as they occur and/or on a timely basis
  • Implement action plans to correct areas of deficiency in individual/team/store performance

 

  • Address employee concerns in a timely and fair manner, consistent with the values of the Kneipp brand
  • Lead team to support giving back to the local community helping create stronger, healthier places to live and work

Qualifications

Requirements/Skills Summary:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory/leadership position in a highly focused selling culture
  • Superior ability and desire to deliver exceptional customer experience, including excellent selling skills and phone service skills
  • Polished and professional demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial outlook and resourceful problem-solving skills
  • Be able to strategize long and short term
  • Strong leadership profile and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management and corporate, build partnerships, and direct teams

  • Passionate about beauty, skincare, body care, or similar industries

  • Experience in Cosmetics Sales and/or generating sales through a client book preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule:       weekends, days/nights, holidays
